joseph's reel
a short fantasy film
Joseph's Reel was funded via a 30 day Kickstarter campaign, and shot on 35mm film. The film stars Robert Hardy, Alice Lowe, Oliver Tilney and Ella Road, and was inspired by a song by Radiohead called 'Videotape', in which someone watches a tape of their life
after passing away. The film is dedicated to the late Robert Hardy in his final screen role. DoP: Eben Bolter. Produced by Forty Foot Pictures.
synopsis of the film
WHICH DAY WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
An elderly man is allowed to relive one day of his life before passing away. But when he chooses to revisit the day he proposed to his wife in the late fifties, he finds himself torn between following the beautiful memory to its conclusion, and a heart-wrenching admission.

THE CAST
'Joseph's Reel' features a mixture of veteran and up-and-coming acting talent. Robert Hardy (ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, HARRY POTTER FILMS) and Alice Lowe (SIGHTSEERS, PREVENGE) face off as Old Joseph and the Projectionist, whilst talented newcomers Oliver Tilney and Ella Road play Young Joseph and Rose.
